“Success is built around you and your abilities, interests, personality, and other important characteristics, such as body type, genetic make-up, mental stamina and muscle structure.
What works for someone else may not work as well for you. What we want to do is to make your training fit your abilities and goals, because if we don’t, success will always be just out of reach. Each of us is a whole person, with likes and dislikes, with limitations on our time.
The outcomes of individualized training are real and noticeable. Your benefits are based on goals you set and realize. The doer in you does what you enjoy, stimulating your interests. You start at whatever fitness level you’re on and watch yourself improve, because you’ll be seeing, feeling, touching, watching the metamorphosis of your body lead to your increased personal power.”

Everyone, their dog and the government has an opinion on what you should be putting in your mouth. Here’s mine.

Excess body fat is a symptom, not a problem. Body fat is directly linked to your food intake rather than your excercise output.

You can simplify it by thinking of “calories in – calories out” but it’s not that easy. Each calorie has to count. Your food should supply your body with the vitamins, minerals, proteins etc that it needs to convert to energy so that you can live your life optimally.

What you eat and how you eat it will depend on your body, your mentality and your lifestyle.
There is no right answer but there are some pretty pervasive common denominators within the answers, they are:
1. Don’t eat processed foods
2. Don’t skip breakfast
3. treat your body with respect. Listen to it.

You can count your calories, cut out animal products/by-products, go raw or enter The Zone, find out what works for you.

I keep a journal myself, in it I write down what I’m eating but not the amounts and how I felt before and after the meal/snack. The importance of this exercise is that it draws your awareness to how the food you are eating is making your body feel. Try it, you’ll astound yourself and probably lay off the Snickers bars.

“Through the years, I have combined meditation, action, and the Iron into a single strength. I believe that when the body is strong, the mind thinks strong thoughts. Time spent away from the Iron makes my mind degenerate. I wallow in a thick depression. My body shuts down my mind. The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and body have been awakened to their true potential, it’s impossible to turn back.

The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you’re a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.”
